Hey there, curious soul!

So, you just found yourself on the Studio Ng'aari Foundation(S.N.F) website, huh? Thay means you've got a heart for creativity, community, or just some good  old insipiration (or maybe you clicked on the wrong link, but hey, stick around - it'll be worth it).

Huh! Let's get straight to it - S.N.F isn't your typical organisation. We just don't sit around in fancy offices writing long reports about change. Nope! We roll up our sleeves, grab some paint, maybe a musical instrument or two, and get straight to work.

Who Are We? Glad You Asked!

We're a Kenyan non-profit fueled by a simple yet powerful idea: Creativity +Empowerment = Change.

We run the Studio Ngaari Art Center(SNAC) in Nairobi (and we have cool satellite centers in Murang'a and Kajiado), where young people can unleash their inner artists. From painting and music, to drama and even chess (because strategy matters in life too). We believe art isn't just for galleries - it's for growing confidence, leadership, and a better future.

But we don't stop at Art. No, no no. We also dive enterpreneurship, and sustainability - because what's the point of creativity if it doesn't lead to something bigger?

What's Cooking for 2025? Oh!, Just a Few Life-Changing Ideas

  • We're working on turning our centers into Hybrid Innovation Hubs, where kids can blend traditional art with digital art and tools (think NFTs and AI - yeah!, we're keeping up with the times!).
  • We're are launching youth-led climate action projects like reforestation and waste-to-art initiatives. Because if we don't take care of our planet, where else will we create Art?
  • We're building pan-African connections - because change isn't just local; it's global.
  • And as technology advances, some of our future projects is to throw STEM into the mix, making sure science and tech don't feel like boring school subjects, but tools to change the world.

What's Our Secret Sauce? Our Values (And Maybe a Little Kenyan Tea)

  1. Creativity & Innovation: The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It can't be changed without changing our thinking. - Albert Einstein
  2. Empowerment through Education: Knowledge is power, and we're in thebusiness of handing out superpowers.
  3. Inclusivity and Equity: Everyone deserves a chance, no matter wher they come from.
  4. Sustainability: we don't just think about today - we plan for tomorrow.
  5. Intergrity & Transparency: We do good work, and we do it honestly.

The Fun Stuff We Actually Do

  • Art & Creativity: From visual Arts to live performance, we turn imaginations into masterpieces.
  • Skill-Building & Mentorship: Programs like Soko Rembo (for grandmothers soap making and enterprenuership skill, for young girls mentorship, enterprenuership skills and leadership skills), and Jenga Boy (helping young men become responsible leaders) ensure everyone has a shot at success.
  • Sports & Community Impact: Football + enviromental awareness? Yep, that's our Kajiado S.N.F Football Cup.
  • Water for Communities: Drilling boreholes because; you can't paint, and play without water. For this reason, We start a water project at Kajiado, so as to help facilitate lives and help the community nave access to clean water. Water is life, Right?
  • Enviroment Responsibility: We plant trees, clean rivers, and basically fight climate change with action (and a little bit of stubbornness).
