SNF Environment Football Cup – "Play for the Planet"

In August 2024, Studio Ng'aari Foundation (SNF) proudly hosted the first-ever SNF Environment Cup at Olekemunke Grounds in Kajiado County, a community-centered football tournament uniting seven local teams under one shared goal: to protect our planet and empower our people.

The day was more than just football; it was a celebration of youth energy, cultural pride, and environmental action.

Participants and supporters came together in:

Tree planting, symbolizing hope, climate resilience, and community renewal.

Environmental discussions on water conservation and sustainable agriculture, made possible through the SNF borehole, which provides water for tree planting and future farming projects in this semi-arid region.

Traditional dances and cultural showcases, celebrating identity and unity.

A Pad Drive, which provided sanitary products to over 300 girls and women, ensuring dignity and supporting menstrual health awareness.

A vibrant local economy, with food vendors and artisans earning income and creating a lively community market atmosphere.

Though the 2024 edition offered no cash prizes, it left a lasting legacy, fostering environmental awareness, community empowerment, and youth leadership through the spirit of sport.

Looking Ahead – SNF Environment Cup 2025

Building on this success, the second edition of the tournament will take place on December 13th, 2025, again at Olekemunke Grounds, Kajiado County, under the theme:

"Play for the Planet – Nurturing Young Talent, Growing Greener Communities."

The 2025 edition will expand its impact by:

Reaching even more girls through an extended pad drive.

Enhancing tree planting and agricultural demonstrations using SNF borehole water.

Introducing environmental education sessions for youth and local residents.

Strengthening partnerships with organizations and supporters who share our vision for a sustainable future.

Through art, sports, and environmental action, SNF continues to grow a movement where every goal scored and every tree planted brings us closer to a greener, more resilient, and self-reliant community.
